1. We believe in the divine inspiration of the accepted canon of Scriptures as originally given. The Scriptures are infallible, accurate, and the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct (II Timothy 3:16; I Corinthians 2:13; II Peter 1:20-21).
2. We Believe in the Biblical authority structure laid out in the Word of God (Acts 15:1-29; Ephesians 2:20-22).
3. We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as One God existing in Three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible (Matthew 3:16-17 and 28:19).
4. We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis, his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to Divine righteousness (Genesis 1-3; Romans 3:23, 5:12, 18).
5. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very Man (Luke 1:26-36; John 1:14-18; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6).
6. We believe that a Marriage is, by definition, the spiritual and physical uniting of one man and one woman (according to their original birth design) in an exclusive covenant commitment for their joint lifetime. Christian marriage is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His Church. As such, Salvage Yard Biker Church believes that wedding ceremonies performed by a member are spiritual observances of worship to God, who created this divine institution. As Worship services, the leadership will decline to perform any ceremonies when it has been determined that one or both of the parties are not biblically and/or legally qualified to marry. Such determinations may be made by the pastors, and the elders of the church. (Genesis 2:21-24; Romans 1).
7. We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared in the flesh unto His disciples (I Corinthians 15:1-8, Romans 4:24-25, John 1:1, 14).
8. We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation, and personal, literal, and bodily coming again the second time for His Church (Matthew 24:27, 30, 31, 34-44; John 14:1-3; Ephesians 1:17-23; I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
9. We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11). 11. We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38-39, 19:1-6).
12. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience at or subsequent to salvation (Acts 1:1-4, 8:14- 17, 10:44-46, 19:6; Galatians 3:14-15).
13. We believe in the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in Romans 12:3-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, and Ephesians 4:11-12, as manifested in the Early Church.
14. We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as expressing the true Christian faith (Ephesians 5:18; II Corinthians 6:14, 7:1).
15. We believe healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and it is the privilege of every member of the church today (Mark 16:18; James 5:14-20; I Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:16-17; Isaiah 53:4-5; I Corinthians 12:7-9).
16. We believe in the table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord’s Supper. We partake of the Lord’s Supper to show the Lord’s death till He comes (I Corinthians 11:23-31). The bread symbolizes the Lord’s broken body (Isaiah 53:5; I Corinthians 11:24). The cup represents the new covenant in His blood which provides us forgiveness and relationship with God (Hebrews 9; I Corinthians 11:25). We judge ourselves and realize this is our salvation and receive it (I Corinthians 11:28-30) for if we receive it unworthily, we are guilty of the body and blood of the Lord (I Corinthians 11:27).
17. We believe the New Testament teaches at least three baptisms. First, there is the baptism whereby the repentant sinner, upon trusting Jesus Christ as his Savior, is baptized by the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:13). Secondly, there is water baptism by immersion for believers only. This we believe to be an ordinance of the church, whereby the believer experiences the reality of co-crucifixion and co-resurrection with the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 6:3-6). Thirdly, there is the filling or baptism in the Holy Spirit by the Lord Jesus Christ, which may occur at or subsequent to conversion. Further, we believe that by the believer’s continued submission to the Holy Spirit, his very weakness is transformed into strength to witness for Jesus Christ in power, and to live according to the will of God (Acts 1:5-6; 10:46; 11:28; 19:6).
18. We believe in giving of Tithing, Offerings, and Alms. Both the Old and New Testament Scriptures teach tithing as God’s financial plan for the support of His work. These are to be practiced continually by all believers and are outward expressions of the unity of the church, the Body of Christ, as it joins together in support of the work of the Lord (Malachi 3:8-10; I Corinthians 16:2; Genesis 28:22; Matthew 23:23; Deuteronomy 26; 14:28-29; 15:7-11; Numbers 18:8-11; Ezekiel 44; Proverbs 14:21; 29:7; Luke 11:41; 12:33).
19. We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil and eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for the Devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:14-15).
20. We believe in eternal life for believers (John 5:24, 3:16), and eternal punishment for the unbelievers (Mark 9:43- 48; I Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 20:10-15).
21. We believe in the laying on of hands. We believe that power or anointing or any other necessary quality can be transmitted from one person to another by laying on of hands. Laying on of hands was practiced by the Levitical Priesthood. Jesus practiced it in Mark 10:13-16 as a blessing and it is our grounds for baby dedication instead of baptism. Laying on of hands for healing (Mark 5:22, 41, 16:18; Acts 28:8, 19:11-12); laying on of hands to confer office (Acts 6:2-6); laying on of hands to receive the Holy Ghost (Acts 8:16-18); laying on of hands to believe words spoken, to receive anointing, and to cultivate the anointing (I Timothy 4:14); laying on of hands for ordination to consecrate and receive the necessary ministry tools (I Timothy 4:14).
22. We believe that there is one true universal Church, made up of genuine believers, but this one universal Church is also composed of many local Churches in given localities. These Churches are under the sovereign Headship of the Lord Jesus Christ, exercising autonomous government under Him, administering all its local affairs and ministry, as well as the propagation of the Gospel (Matthew 16:18, 18:15-20; Ephesians 1:22; Acts 20:22).. customers can’t find it, it doesn’t exist.
